Design of New Capital City of The Republic Indonesia

On April 24, 2019, Indonesia's President Joko Widodo announced that Indonesia will move its capital city from Jakarta to Borneo. This isn't the first time the government has tried to move the capital from Jakarta; in fact, it was proposed by government officials as early as 1946, when Indonesia was granted independence from Dutch colonial rule. So why is it important now? And what makes this time different? Let's look closer at the pros and cons of such a huge decision and whether or not this can actually happen successfully.

The new capital will be located in Penajam Paser Utara (PPU) East Borneo.

An estimated 1.5 million people live in and around  and are expected to grow by another 2 million people over the next decade.

The current capital of Indonesia, Jakarta, is on the island of Java.

Jakarta is the capital of Indonesia, and the most populous city in the country. It’s located on the island of Java.

Jakarta has a population of over 10 million people and is one of the most densely populated cities in the world.

Jakarta is the most populous city in Indonesia and the second most populous capital city in the world, with a population of over 10 million people. It is also one of the most densely populated cities in the world, along with Manila and Shanghai.

Moving the capital to another island could help alleviate some of the strain on Jakarta's infrastructure.

As is the case with many cities, Jakarta's infrastructure is constantly being strained. The city is overpopulated and its infrastructure has had a difficult time keeping up with demand.

Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, is located on the island of Java. It has a population of almost 10 million people and more than 20 million if you include surrounding areas. This makes it one of the largest cities in Southeast Asia and puts a tremendous amount of pressure on its infrastructure.

One thing that has held up moving the capital before is the fact that Indonesia has struggled with getting all the paperwork finalized for purchasing the land, which would be owned by several different people.

There are also many things to consider when selecting a new location for your capital city. One important factor is population size—it's easy to forget about this when you're looking at maps, but it's very important to think about how many people live near each possible location for your new capital city. If you choose a place where there aren't enough people around, then it won't really be worth moving there. And if you choose an area where too many people live nearby, then those citizens might protest against having their town turned into a new capitol city!

Additionally, there are other considerations in choosing where one might want their new capital city: like whether or not they already have infrastructure built out so they don't need build anything else; if there's potential conflict between groups who own property nearby because nobody wants certain pieces of land anymore (like forestland).

Many environmentalists have expressed concern that a new capital city being built from scratch on a tropical rainforest would cause serious damage to one of the world's most important ecosystems.

Deforestation is bad for the environment because it reduces biodiversity and harms climate change efforts.

Rainforests are important because they're home to many species of plants, animals, and insects; they help regulate our climate by absorbing carbon dioxide; and they produce oxygen (the gas we breathe).

The rainforest provides a critical home for endangered species such as Sumatran Tigers and orangutans.

The rainforest provides a critical home for endangered species such as Sumatran Tigers and orangutans. You'll also find the rainforest is a vital habitat for many other endangered species, including the Komodo dragon, Javanese rhino, Bornean gibbon and Sumatran tiger.

As part of our commitment to protect these fragile ecosystems we work with local conservation groups like WWF Indonesia (World Wildlife Fund) on projects that help preserve these precious resources.

Another reason many environmentalists are concerned about a new capital city being built is because of its potential impact on climate change.

Another reason many environmentalists are concerned about a new capital city being built is because of its potential impact on climate change. Deforestation, which is rampant in Indonesia due to slash-and-burn farming and illegal logging, contributes to greenhouse gas emissions that lead to climate change. Climate change is caused by human activity, and it's a serious threat to the environment—it can cause drought and flooding, destroy coral reefs, and even contribute to species extinction.

If you're an environmentalist or just someone who cares about animals or trees (or both), you might want to read more about why building a new capital city could be bad for the planet.

Deforestation contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions, which leads to climate change.

Deforestation is the destruction of forests, and it contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions. Deforestation is a major source of carbon dioxide emissions, methane emissions and nitrous oxide emissions.

Deforestation is a major contributor to climate change because trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere while they grow. When they are cut down, they release all the stored up back into the atmosphere over time. This causes an increase in global temperatures that causes extreme weather events like heat waves or floods which can have devastating effects on people’s livelihoods such as crop failures leading to famine or disease outbreak due to lack clean water supply etc..

The government says it will use no more than 1% of Kalimantan's (the Indonesian part of Borneo) landmass, and set aside 20% as protected forest.

There are many things to consider if you want to move a capital city

There are many things to consider if you want to move a capital city.

The government needs to consider the impact on the environment.

The government needs to consider the impact on the economy.

The government needs to consider the impact on the people.

The government needs to consider the impact on infrastructure, which includes buildings and roads as well as communication networks like telephone lines and internet cables (or even satellites).

Moving a capital city is not easy. There are so many different things to consider in addition to the environmental concerns, including infrastructure and security for the city and people living there. In this blog post, we explained why Indonesia might want to move its capital city and what some of those considerations could be. Hopefully this gives you more insight into how complicated it can be to move a capital city!
